Petteril House is a great place for children, teenagers, and families. It is not suitable for infants (under 2 years) mainly because of the numerous steps within the house and we do not provide any stair gates.
You can add up to 2 dogs to your booking, although this will incur an extra cleaning charge. The courtyard at the rear of the property is fully enclosed so that pets can run free in there. However, pets must not be let loose in the unfenced parts of the property, this is a rural area with animals in the fields. Pets are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture within the property.
No smoking throughout the property.
No parties or events.
One other property shares the driveway, therefore please do not block the driveway. There is plenty of space for up to 5 cars. If you are having day visitors we can arrange for some extra parking if needed.
There is a septic tank servicing the property. Please dispose of wipes, pads, nappies and tampons in the bins in each bathroom. No glitter please! You may incur an extra cleaning charge if glitter is left from your visit.
There is level access to the property from the parking area. The property is split level inside, with steps throughout, including in three of the bedrooms.
A deposit of £500 will secure the booking. Full payment (less the deposit payment) to be made two months in advance of the start date of the booking.
Coronavirus Cancellation Policy
If pandemic restrictions and travel advice are in place across the UK (https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus) bookings can be cancelled for Covid-19 related reasons by either party up to the day before your booking starts with no penalty. If you cancel on the day before your booking starts then Petteril House will retain the deposit of £500 and return the balance of your payment.
We charge a fee per dog per stay of £30.
There is a cleaning fee per booking of £90.
Damage to Property
We reserve the right to levy charges should any part of the rental property sustain damage which is above and beyond reasonable wear and tear.
By entering into an agreement with us to rent the property it is accepted that any damage which occurs during the period of the rental to the property or its contents will be reported by email to the owners on vacating the property. Any damage will be assessed by the owners and a charge will be levied up to the full cost of any damage. Payment for any damage to be made within 7 days to the account.

Arrival & departure
We allocate more time to deep clean and sanitise the property between bookings and we also need your help. Please strip your beds before departure, including mattress and pillow protectors and leave at the foot of the stairs.
We look forward to your arrival any time after 6pm on the day of your booking. Prior to that we will probably be busy cleaning.
Please checkout from the property by 9am, making sure that you have taken all your belongings. We have an extensive cleaning routine in place to get the property ready for the next guest. If we are not around then lock up and leave the keys in the post box on the driveway – no need to use the keysafe.
